Equipment used: 1 video camera with tripod;1 digital camera;1 audio recorder;1 digital temperature gauge; 3 flashlights.

Preliminary Findings

The team arrived at DeBlois around 10:45pm. We gathered our gear out of the trunk. Russell set up the video camera on the tripod. Rushell oversaw the audio recorder and Suzanne, the digital camera. We then got back into the car and left the equipment set up for about one hour.

We drove to the other side of where the tracks used to be and where most of the sightings have been reported. We sat quietly for about 40 minutes and just listened and observed. The audio recorder was placed outside of the car at this time. We could hear coyotes howling! The car was shut off. We waited to see if anything would happen. Russell and Rushell both said they saw ‘lights’, I did not see them.

We then went back to get the video camera and to take some more pictures. The video camera had been set up for 1 hour and the battery was almost dead. It is usually good for at least 2 hours. Suzanne took some pictures with the digital camera. She noticed some "orbs" in some of the pictures. She stated that she thought this may just be from moisture in the air. Rushell was in the car with the temperature gauge and the audio recorder.

The car door remained open. The temperature on the gauge changed dramatically in just a few seconds, so I took some pictures at that time. Rushell said she could even see orbs in the car. She seemed startled. Russell and Suzanne did not see these. Shortly afterwards, we packed up and left at around 12:45am.

On the drive home we figured that perhaps the orbs Rushell seen in the car may have been static charge in the air during the temperature dropping. Still cool to witness.

Findings

After reviewing the video, photos and audio, we felt it was important to go back during the day time and be sure of the surroundings. We were able to determine that most of the photos that were first thought to have orbs in them to be moisture droplets. we were unsure about the "mist" that appeared in the photo below. No one was smoking and no other photo appeared to have anything similar to this one.

The quick temperature drop was quite interesting as it only seemed to drop in one area and not around others.

Upon review of the audio, there were three noted moments in audio that held sounds of unknown origin. We believe these are EVPs.

It should be noted that the photo was taken at the same time as an evp was caught on an audio.
